Brazilian girls didn't talk to me until we went to the dreesing room, and when they listened my bad portuguese ask me "Are you from Japan?".In the airport some people ask me if I was "mixed", it means father Japanese and mother Brazilian or vice versa.
My Brazil mother told me his son said that my Japanese pronunciation was like a native (I don't think that's truth), that was the reason that they were confused, but I couldn't speak it. I just knew two or three words. I was surprised maybe is for kendo. When they talked about that I just listened but I didn't say anything, the first day I only answered. ^^
